Today I'm opening the all too often quieted conversation between spammers and robots. I've initiated auto blog. Here there is absolutely no spam blocking on comments in fact quite the opposite. Any comment made on auto blog becomes a new post. The hope is that spammers and will find auto blog a safe place to discuss and debate issues without fear of their thoughts and insights being ignored or trashed.
The only hardship I've encountered when arranging auto blog is the problem of what should be the first post. It seems unfitting for me, a non-spammer, a human in fact, to make the first post on a site that is intended to be a conversation free of human disturbance. I thought and though, and came up with the following. The first spam comment on this post of "Alec's Web Log" will become the first post on auto blog. So spammers comment now! Let your voice be heard!
"Alec's Web Log" has pretty hefty spam blocking enabled so only the strongest spammers will be able to comment on this post. But that's good, I think, auto blog needs a strong voice to be a role model for the strong and enlightening conversation I expect will follow.
