Blank page after installing mediawiki with BlueHost simple scripts

After installing mediawiki on my blue host site using simplescripts, I immediately got only blank pages. After adding error printing to my LocalSettings.php file I got these errors:
Warning: dir(/home/.../skins) [function.dir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /home/.../Skin.php on line 40
Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in /home/.../includes/Skin.php on line 43
Seems that I was missing the ./skins/ directory entirely. To fix this I just downloaded mediawiki and copied the skins directory to my installation location.
